The AKITA RESCUE ONLUS association was born in 2011 with the purpose of protection and respect of AKITA dogs, both Japanese and American Akitas, and the mix of these breeds. 

Our activity is highly well-structured and planned in order to follow different targets:
- CULTURAL AND INFORMATION ACTIVITIES
Having a strong dog training culture is the only way for protecting and defending ourselves.

- ACTIVITY FOR HELPING FAMILIES IN NEED AND DURING HARD TIMES 
- ACTIVITY FOR HELPING OTHER VOLUNTEERS, DOG SHELTERS, ASSOCIATIONS
- ACTIVITIES WITH DOGS

We take charge of dogs from individuals, kennels and shelters or other animal associations who are having difficulty in managing dogs, sometimes also in case of dogs declared dangerous by ministerial order, directly collaborating with the Vet local health authorities. These dogs are put to our cost by private structures where we undertake a daily process of dog training aimed for improving their management, for making them have a better quality of life and for increasing their level of adoptability. We are personally involved with the adoptions of our dogs and manage all the steps needed for them. With the help of the suitable good dogs of our association, we also take part in activities with special users of social and educational centres, communities and individuals having several type of difficulties.
